Each character is dressed in the proper Star Fleet attire. Gund produced this line to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Star Trek's first TV episode. The significance of this particular Broadway musical is that it showcased a young 42 year old costume designer named Robert Fletcher who later became famous for designing the costumes used in the first four Star Trek films, specifically the legendary Klingon and Vulcan costumes.
