The significance of this particular Broadway musical is that it showcased a young 42 year old costume designer named Robert Fletcher who later became famous for designing the costumes used in the first four Star Trek films, specifically the legendary Klingon and Vulcan costumes. This framed series of illustrations from the 1962 Broadway musical is also signed by Robert Fletcher and came from the estate of April Ferry who was an acclaimed Hollywood costume designer in her own right, not only designing the rabbit costume suit for the 2001 cult film "Donnie Darko" but more importantly for her brilliant costume designs in the 1986 Kurt Russell film "Big Trouble in Little China". The frame measures 20.5" x 17.5".
