You receive actual item pictured. Trashcan is in very nice shape without much wear to the paint, bends or dents. We recently have seen that many buyers have not had this button work properly.   

Vintage Cheinco 1979 Star Trek Metal Trash Can. Made in USA VERY RARE! Does not look like it was used as a trash can. The inside is very clean. There are a couple light scratches, mostly to the right and top to spocks head... There are a couple small dings but there on the very bottom of can. 7.5 inches in depth.
