Considered to be the best Captain Piccard motion picture, and in the top three Star Trek Movies of all time, Star Trek: First Contact is a 1996 American science fiction film directed by Jonathan Frakes in his directorial debut, and based on the franchise of the same name created by Gene Roddenberry.
