This is a REPLICA of one of the light up padds used in the Next Generation movies. It is made from the same Cabin slide viewer that the prop masters used to create the props for the movie. The graphic is taped to the viewer with automotive pin striping tape, and the accents on the padd are made from the same type of tape. Please note that this padd is not painted, I just added the highlights to the original slide viewer. It looks as though there is some corrosion to one side of the battery terminals (see pictures), but the viewer still lights up as you can see in the photos.
A word of warning, you may need to put a small piece of cardboard to hold the batteries in tight inside the compartment, cabin slide viewers were known for this flaw, but right now it is working fine as you can see in the photos.
