Original Tos Captain Pike Communicator Prop Replica-gorgeous

For your consideration is this Beautiful, hand-crafted, hand cast replica prop. The Captain Pike Communicator as seen in the Original Trek Pilot "The Cage" from 1964. All the details are there to recreate the look and feel of the prop that was actually used for filming. I have improved the casting process using a new resin product and casting method, the outcome is a glass-like appearance! This replica is NOT a printed piece. It was created using the exact same methods used on the original prop. Also, the piece was made with an eye for accuracy which Includes the vintage components such as the resistors, capacitors and rotary switch which are all vintage(1960s) and from the time period the actual prop was made. These are encased in a clear resin body (and covered with automotive clear coat) with metal antenna and armature with the brass stopper. Topping it off are a beautiful aluminum center Knob and replica vintage battery caps for tuning and the horseshoe belt clip. Also included is a handy dandy clear "Lil" display base! That being said, this is by no means a Toy. The body is a heavy cast resin, so dropping it or playing with the antenna by flipping it open hard is not something you should do. It's a solid build mind you, but this more of a display piece.. This prop reproduction is the end result of years of research, parts sourcing and trial and error to bring you as close as possible that, which was seen on the film.
